The federal government’s budget also includes over $2-million for foreshore projects across the mid north coast.
$1.2-million has been allocated for Greater Taree City Council for improvements to the Manning River foreshore park.
Meanwhile a further $1-million has been announced to improve pedestrian safety along Port Macquarie’s foreshore.
Funding has been set aside for a bridge over Kooloonbung (cool-un-bung) Creek which will move pedestrians off the narrow Buller Street bridge and onto a walkway that connects the foreshore pathways.
