CLEAN UP BEGINS AT WOOLOMIN GENERAL STORE

The clean up has begun at Woolomin’s general store following a 400 litre fuel leak, which has left the town without use of its groundwater.
Today contractors began excavating so they can remove the underground fuel tanks and surrounding soil, while contaminated water started being pumped from three bores.
The store is expected to remain open throughout the works.
Another community information session is scheduled for next Friday night at the town hall from 6:30.
