A landholder has been convicted and fined $1,000 after illegally clearing 15.5 hectares of native vegetation.
David McBurnie of Gilgandra was prosecuted under Section 12 of the Native Vegetation Act and pleaded guilty to the offence.
McBurnie was also ordered to pay $500 in legal fees.
