BUDDING ENVIRONMENTALISTS LEAD CLIMATE CHANGE CHARGE

Hundreds of green-minded students from across the state have visited Tamworth for the New South Wales Youth Environment Conference.
While rain forced a last minute change of venue to the equine centre, it didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the 250 students.
The two day event involved a number of seminars on irrigation, biodiversity and alternative energy sources – with hands on presentations on environmental issues of concern in our region and around the globe.
Activities included water quality testing and carrying out environmental audits.
