The Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League All Schools carnival kicked off today, with more than 400 kids from across the region coming to Casino to compete.
Organisers say the round robin event is a great opportunity for children to become familiar with the sport.
“It’s a really good introduction to the game without any pressure, you can see all the skills, everybody is very supportive and everyone’s here just to have a good game.”
Today’s winners will travel to Sydney to compete in the State knock-out.
