Police have labelled the alleged bashing of two officers at Shoal Bay as ‘cowardly’.
The pair had been attempting to arrest a man at around two o’clock this morning, when up to nine others allegedly assaulted them.
A 20-year-old male has been charged, and police expect to make further arrests.
