Regional airline, Aeropelican, has won its bid to take over the Narrabri to Sydney route.
The state government approved the airline’s application following plans by Qantaslink to pull the pin on the service in March next year.
Aeropelican CEO Paul Graham said ” we’ll be looking at two return services a day Monday to Friday and one service a day on Saturday and Sunday.”
Passenger numbers have grown to more than 16,000 in the past two years.
The contract will end in March 2013.
