Police are searching for a man who allegedly assaulted a girl and threatened another with a firearm yesterday on the Mid North Coast.
About 10pm on Monday, a 17-year-old girl was riding her bike along Hastings River Drive at Port Macquarie.
She rode up behind the man and as she approached him he turned, grabbed her and said “stop following me”. She told police the man then punched her in the eye.
At the same time 17-year-old boy was walking towards the pair and after a short conversation the man produced a black pistol which he pointed at the teenager, before walking away.
He is described as being 40 – 50 years old, with dark hair, 183cm tall and wearing a black “Puma” jumper and black track pants with a white stripe.
