Police have arrested a 33-year-old man over an armed robbery at a bank on the Central Coast this morning.
It’s alleged he entered the Westpac Bank at Umina Beach armed with a hammer at around 9:30am and demanded money.
He was given an unknown amount of cash by staff, but as he was leaving he was tackled and restrained by customers.
One customer was taken to hospital after telling paramedics he had a sore arm.
