TOSTEE DENIED SENTENCE APPEAL OVER DRINK DRIVING

The parents of accused balcony killer, Gable Tostee, left Lismore District court without their son this morning, after he lost an appeal against a 10 month jail sentence.
It relates to a drunken high speed police pursuit, committed three weeks before Tostee was charged with the murder of Warriena Wright.
Defence lawyer, Philip Crick, argued the 28 year old was finding it difficult in prison, after being denied medication for depression.
But Judge Blackmore dismissed the appeal, saying the driving offence was one of the most serious he’d seen.
