A post mortem examination will be conducted on the body of a 34 year old who drowned south of Port Macquarie.
The victim had been surfing with two friends at Rainbow Beach near Bonny Hills.
It’s unclear exactly what happened to the man who was discovered face down in the water by a fisherman.
It’s believed he was from Queensland and holidaying in the area with friends.
