Meanwhile, a 24-year-old Armidale man has been injured in a motorcycle accident east of Walcha.
The Westpac Rescue helicopter airlifted the man to Tamworth hospital this afternoon, suffering back injuries.
The crash happened on the Oxley Highway, eight kilometres east of Gingers Creek just after one o’clock.
The man was unconscious for a short period of time before being treated by ambulance crews.
He remains in a stable condition.
