RED AND YELLOW ARMY RAISE FLAGS FOR THE FINAL TIME THIS SEASON

Volunteer surf lifesavers kept watch on Tweed beaches for the final time this season, with official patrols ending today.
The red and yellow army will return at the end of September
“we’ve had a reasonable amount of rescues, but no serious incidents, 46.19 we haven’t had any fatalities 46.23 and no resuscitations or anything like that.”
Those still keen for a dip, are being urged to use common sense, to swim with friends and in daylight hours.
Red and yellow flags on the Gold Coast will be taken down next Sunday.
