LEVEL FIVE WATER RESTRICTIONS FOR MURRURUNDI

Residents and businesses owners in Murrurundi are being urged to do all they can to conserve water with level five water restrictions in place from midnight tonight.
It means residents can no longer water lawns or wash cars, while only buckets can only be used to water gardens between 6 and 8pm on Sundays.
Council says the town must reduce its water use by 70 per cent, with levels in Murrurundi Dam and the Pages River dangerously low.
Water will be trucked in from Scone to top up the town’s public pool.
