A woman has died after being hit by a car on the Central Coast last night.
Police say the 87-year-old was crossing York Street at East Gosford just before 8pm, when she was struck by a Holden Jackaroo.
The driver – a 76-year-old man – stopped to render assistance, but the woman couldn’t be saved.
He was taken to Gosford Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.
