Mariners take hold of second spot with leg up over Adelaide

The Central Coast Mariners now sit in the second spot on the A-League ladder after defeating Adelaide United at home.

The four-nil demolition was helped in part by two own goals from the visiting side – who’ll now have to fight, to avoid falling out of the top six.
