MEDICARE LICENSING CONFIRMED FOR TAMWORTH HOSPITAL MRI FACILITY

Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson met with medical staff at the city’s hospital today, to announce the successful licensing of a new MRI facility.

Mr Anderson spoke on behalf of Barnaby Joyce, who’s been pushing for the facility since 2015.

“A machine such as this isn’t like a photocopier where you and buy a machine and plug it in and you start taking photocopies. You actually have to have a license to operate the machine at a national level through Medicare.”

The MRI machine was funded by Hunter New England Health and boasts modern radiography features.
