Flights in and out of Coffs Harbour Airport were dodging the dust this morning with some larger aircraft still taking off despite the reduced visibility.
Residents of the city awoke to a very different skyline as the massive dust storm swept its way across the mountains.
Car headlights broke through the dust in the town centre as traffic crawled along the Pacific Highway.
