GOSFORD HOSPITAL EVACUATED DUE TO PETROL LEAK

Operating theatres at Gosford Hospital on the Central Coast were evacuated today, and elective surgeries postponed, due to a petrol leak.

It’s understood the leak was related to the cutting of a beam, as part of redevelopment work.

Several staff presented to the emergency department suffering symptoms such as nausea, and an itchy throat.

The hospital says there’s now no risk to patients and staff, and all departments are back operating normally.
