Nambucca surfer Heath Joske has been narrowly defeated in the final of Cold Water Classic in California.
Joske was in cracking form during the event, disposing of some of the world’s best surfers in the WQS series in Santa Cruz.
But in the final however he failed to find his rhythm, finishing runner up to US surfer Nate Yeomans.
The second placing is his best finish in the qualifying series and has him well placed for a spot on the coveted ASP Dream Tour next year.
