Police are searching for a man who fled from custody following a court hearing in Moree yesterday.
Police allege Michael Pitt, aged 33-years-old, jumped over the dock and escaped from corrective services officers who pursued him on foot.
Mr Pitt caught a taxi to Wilga Place in Moree, but hasn’t been seen since.
He is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, 170-175 centimetres tall, a medium build with a black goatee and moustache.
