An 18-year-old female has been airlifted to John Hunter Hospital, after a high speed crash at Rothbury yesterday afternoon.
Police say the P-plater lost control on a bend and hit a tree on Old Rothbury Road, at around four o’clock.
Ambulance and fire crews worked for two hours to free the teenager.
She was flown to hospital with pelvic and leg injuries.
