Newcastle police are investigating a suspicious blaze at a hotel in Wickham.
A neighbour captured these images, as the fire raged in a rear shed of the Wickham Park Hotel just before 5am.
He had returned home after a night out.
Several rooms of the hotel had to be evacuated, but the pub itself sustained only heat damage.
