20-YEAR-OLD KILLED IN HORRIFIC CAR CRASH

Police are urging motorists to drive to the road conditions, after two fatal accidents on country routes in as many days.

50-year-old Christopher Wrigley lost his life last night, after being involved in a head-on collision at Limeburners Creek, while a 20-year-old Port Macquarie man died early this morning.

  1. Christopher Wrigley was like a father to me, i would like to know who was at fault for the crash

  2. Michael was very important to so many people and we will miss him terribly. He was the sober, careful one that drove his mates home from clubbing or stayed over if he had a drink to avoid accidents. He was the life and soul of our fun and was always there for family and friends. How could this happen to such a good driver and how can we afford to lose such a wonderful young man?

  3. Looks like inexperience and speed took Michael. Thankfully nobody else was killed due to his inexperience.Wake up people , you are only keeping the funeral industry in a job.

  4. You Wally, you must be referring to the other driver that made it out alive…Michael was T-boned at high speed by a driver coming out of a side-street (look at the pictures and road markings). What chance did he have against such arrogance and stupidity, despite being a great driver?

  5. In relation to the accident at Limeburners Creek that claimed the life of a loving single father, Chris Wrigley … How many more lives will have to be lost before the local, state and federal Governments take a serious look at our country roads.
This road has recently been upgraded, without much thought, and then put out of mind. Since this ‘upgrade’ numerous vehicles have ended up in the same front yard as where Chris’s car came to stop last Thursday. Even though these incidents show that there is a problem with the upgrade, the speed limit has not been adjusted to compensate, it remains at 100 km/hr. No investigations has been made into why the water lies on this part of ‘upgraded’ road when there is rain about.
I hope that Chris has not died in vain, and that our local Government takes a good look at what can be down to improve this part of the Bucketts Way, again, and that a speed limit is adjusted to suit the condition of the road.
A gorgeous little boy has lost his father and the wonderful future that they had planned out together, and the Government deserves to shoulder blame due to their negligence.
