Missing Mudgeeraba teenager, Samuel Hitch, has been found safe and well in Sydney.
The 16-year-old, who has autism, was located by police at Darling Harbour this afternoon, 800-kilometres from the Gold Coast.
He’d walked to Tweed Heads on Saturday, before catching a bus to Casino, and then a train south.
“I got a phone call from one of the police officers saying, Megan we’ve got him and I said no! I thought it was prank call but it was her saying no it’s him, it’s him we’ve got him. It’s definitely him.”
His family says his disappearance was out of character.
