The New England Mountain Bikers have plans to host a national series round in Armidale.
The club would use the new Ivy League trail at SportUNE for the event.
It’s a flow track, which is the most common top level mountain bike course type in Australia.
The move comes out of concern that New South Wales won’t be holding any National Bike Series rounds this year.
Talks have begun with Mountain Bike Australia.
