A Korean student has drowned on the Gold Coast.
He went missing in the Cascade Gardens in Broadbeach, at around eight o’clock last night.
His Korean friend notified police, but a search wasn’t commenced until this afternoon due to his difficulty explaining the situation.
His backpack was pulled from the Nerang River at around two o’clock, his body was located shortly after.
It’s believed he’d been drinking.
