CHANGE OF DATE FOR GRAFTON TO INVERELL CYCLE CLASSIC

Australia’s toughest one day cycling road race, the Grafton to Inverell Classic, is to have a new start date.

The gruelling 228-kilometre race will now be held in October to coincide with Grafton’s Jacaranda festival.

This year will mark the 50th anniversary of the race which has now been included in the National Road Race Series.

Organisers say its inclusion will guarantee a large field of professional riders with a record number of cyclists expected to take part this year.

The race will leave Grafton on the 23rd of October.
