Two divers have been winched to safety at Hat Head, near Kempsey, after they were stranded on a rock platform around lunchtime today.
The Westpac rescue helicopter from Tamworth was called in when the men got into difficulty and were unable to scale the cliff face.
A police officer abseiled down the cliff and administered first aid to one of the divers who had received cuts to his arms and legs.
