Police have launched a manhunt following a sexual assault east of Taree this morning.
Officers were called to Saltwater National Park, near Wallabi Point, at around 11 o’clock after reports a woman had been assaulted.
The woman, of unknown age, was treated at the scene by paramedics, before being taken to Manning Base Hospital.
Local officers, the dog squad and PolAir are conducting an extensive search of the area.
