COUNCIL LOOKS TO CUT DOWN ON WASTE IN LANDFILL

Central Coast Council is attempting to decrease the amount of waste going into landfill over the next decade.

The local government has released its draft Waste Management Strategy.

It’s looking at everything from accepting food waste in green kerbside bins, to better harnessing energy produced at the tip.

Residents can have their say until June 21.
