A Special Commission of Inquiry into child sex abuse claims within the Catholic Church resumed today, hearing claims that a senior police officer said “prosecution wasn’t the way the go with historical church matters”.
It was part of the evidence given by Newcastle journalist, Joanne McCarthy, a close contact of police whistleblower, Peter Fox.
