Police have charged a man over the death of 24-year-old father, Aaron Truscott, who was hit by a car while walking at Metford near Maitland on Monday night.
Detectives yesterday questioned a 53-year-old Tenambit man, who told them he thought he’d hit a kangaroo.
He was charged late today with dangerous and negligent driving, failing to stop, and driving under the influence of alcohol.
He’s been granted conditional bail to appear in Maitland Court on November 15.
