The number of alcohol-related incidents is down in Byron Bay as week two of schoolies gets underway.
Safety co-ordinator Nicqui Yazdi says the class of 2018 has been the best-behaved group in over a decade.
However, she warns drug use is still a pressing issue.
“I think it’s probably the cleanest year we’ve ever seen. The first week was fairly quite, this week’s really hectic but they’re really well-behaved, hardly any alcohol around.”
It’s estimated around eight-thousand school-leavers have enjoyed celebrations in Byron so far.
