GETTING READY FOR THE RALLY

Planning for next year’s Australian round of the World Rally Championships in Coffs Harbour is in full swing.
Tonight and tomorrow two members of the Homebush Motor Racing Authority will be sitting down with local councils.
The Authority is responsible for approving the rally course and considering environmental conditions such as noise and dust.
The Australian leg of the World Rally Championships is moving to the Coffs Coast in 2011, after facing opposition on the northern rivers.
Attracting the event, which brings with it great international interest, has been seen as a major sporting coup for the city.
