Woolgoolga firefighters presented the Salvation Army with a cheque for $500 today, to say thank you for helping them when one of their daughters was killed in a car crash.
17-year-old Bree Atkins died on the Pacific Highway at Woolgoolga in September, when her car collided with a truck.
The tragedy rocked the tight-knit brigade, and came just hours after a firefighter was killed at Nambucca Heads.
