NSW SPEEDWAY TITLES 2010

The New South Wales Speedway titles at Kurri Kurri have been described as showcasing some of the best riding in recent times.

Chris Holder and good mate Darcy Ward enjoyed a running battle all night with the World Under 21 champion beating the National number one in the heats only to have the tables turned in the A-Final which saw Holder re-claim the State crown.

Many Hunter locals also shone, with Richard Sweetman winning four of his five races before coming third in the final. Sam Masters won the B Final while Alex Davies and Kozza Smith also had their moments.

  1. Thought the speedway bike racing was terrific but what a pity it was single camera and not a multi unit coverage which would have been so much better.

  2. Mike Raymond knows more about promoting, producing and enhancing the viewing of Speedway than anyone. To add extra class and style Steve Raymond should be the announcer.

  3. Hi Mike and Ian,
Just a reminder this is not a program, hence no multi camera or commentary. Simply extended shots from our news coverage we thought speedway fans would appreciate. Thanks for watching.

  4. Could i just say, what a top draw meeting this was . As good as any i witnessed in england in 2008 at many elite and premier league tracks .
It’s a pity meetings like this are not screened on shows like iHDand speed channel. They dont know what there missing (viewers) fabulous racing .
As i don’t know about you. But i for one are sick of sprintcar shows and the like .

  5. Nice to hear from you again, Mike, and to know you are still interested in speedway. Enjoyed the coverage of the solos—it;s been quite a while since I was at a speedway meeting and a speedway at Kurri Kurri is a surprise. Looks like a nice little track.
