Glen Innes residents are knocking back too many beers, according to a new report.
The town was ranked fourth in the state for excessive alcohol consumption.
The Mitchell Institute study found 27 percent of residents are drinking more than the recommended two standard drinks a day.
Statistics were alarming in Tamworth too, where 20 percent were found to be drinking excessively.
