INLAND RAIL ROLLS ALONG

The federal government has settled on a preferred study corridor, for the Narrabri to Narromine section of the proposed Inland Rail network.

After committing more than $8-billion of this year’s budget to the project, the government says it’s now ready to proceed to the planning and approvals stage.

Solutions are still needed to reduce flood risks, as well as the impact on rural properties.

Representatives are expected to meet with affected landholders in the coming months for their input.
