Police say they’re amazed a P-plater survived a crash in Taree this morning.
The 20-year-old man’s sedan collided with a north-bound Country Energy truck on Wingham Road shortly before eight o’clock.
Police believe he lost control on a left-hand bend.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was initially called but the driver’s condition was less serious than first thought.
He was treated for minor injuries while the Country Energy employees were treated for shock at the scene.
