WATT POWERS HOME TO WIN LAKE MACQUARIE INTERNATIONAL

Australia’s number one ranked amateur golfer Ryan McCarthy was forced to watch the final round of the Lake Macquarie International after dislocating his shoulder during a beach swim last night.
Charlestown’s Jake Higginbottom drew the crowd but not the round required to win the title.
That honour fell to West Australian Brady Watt who powered away to win by 4 strokes.
His final round 70 in windy conditions securing the 20 year-old the trophy, with Higginbottom the best of the locals.
