A Sydney club may have won the feature race but Newcastle outrigger canoe club won all the plaudits after their first ever Pasha Dasha regatta the weekend.
Crews from along the East Coast took the opportunity to take part given the National outriggers titles are in April with a host in domestic and international events following.
Smooth crew changes are crucial in these events and while some had it .. Others didn’t quite stack up but given it was a 20-kilometre race of shoulder burning pain, you had to applaud the effort.
