BRANCH CHAMPIONSHIPS ATTRACT OVER 600 COMPETITORS TO AVOCA

More than 600 surf lifesavers braved the rain at Avoca Beach today for the Central Coast Branch Surf Lifesaving Championships.
While events struggled to run smoothly due to strong surf conditions, the Open Men’s ski final saw Avoca’s Lachlan Tame make it look easy.
But the surf soon got the better of him, causing a close race to the finish with Terrigal’s Jacob Marks, with Tame awarded the win.
Terrigal’s Masters team also had success, Paul Lemmon leading the side to win the Taplin Relay.
