A man is dead after the ute he was driving collided head-on with a truck at Medowie shortly after 6 tonight.
The man died instantly after the collision on Medowie Road, while the truck driver escaped unharmed, and was taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.
Medowie Road remains closed as investigations continue.
