DECISION DAY LOOMS FOR CO-OP SHAREHOLDERS

The future of the Gunnedah’s Curlewis Farmers’ Co-op will be decided next week.
With the store running at a loss over the past few years the local department store looks like shutting up shop.

If the Gunnedah community were given the correct facts, they would know that the Co-op has not been in debt since the sale of Mitre 10. The truth of the matter appears to be that the Board of Directors are tired of being on the Board. My solution to this problem would be for the Board to retire and new Directors be instated. The staff of the Co-op have had their lives turned upside down with all the talk of the impending sale. I would personally like to see the truth published in the local newspaper about the financial state of the Co-op and backed up with hard facts.
