A prisoner who escaped from the Glen Innes correctional centre has been recaptured by police after a two- kilometre foot pursuit.
Authorities noticed the 20 year old was missing from the facility about 12.20 yesterday afternoon.
Police spotted the man two hours later as they patrolled the New England Highway, south of Glen Innes.
