WARNERVALE TOWN CENTRE IN TROUBLE

The state government says it will not offer any more money to Wyong Council for work at the Sparks Road intersection in Warnervale.

The RTA’s favoured plan for a dual carriageway between Minnesota and Virginia Roads would cost around $12-million – almost double council’s estimated cost.

However, no government funding will be provided, with documents showing a private partnership should be sought.

Mayor Doug Eaton says without the intersection, the project can’t go ahead.
