The New South Wales Government has extended relief for drought affected farmers.

An additional $20 million dollars worth of funding has been allocated under the emergency water infrastructure rebate scheme.

Last year’s scheme assisted 2200 drought stricken families.

The claim cap has been set at $20,000, the average claim in previous years is $14,000.

Applicants have until June 30 to apply, and must seek approval from the New South Wales Rural Assistance Authority.
