WEATHER UPDATE: RAIN SWEET RAIN

The coast isn’t interested in more rain but inland farming areas certainly are. It has been a very dry Autumn for the Upper Hunter and NW and a Winter crop watering desperately needed so the weekend rain event is well timed and moderate falls are likely.
NW winds will build along with the high cloud during Saturday. The rain will start light and widespread across the Upper Hunter and southern parts of the NW in the afternoon building into the evening, mostly falling overnight and on Sunday. Due to the lack of sunshine Sunday will be cold and wet for most regions. The system will move out to sea on Monday so the rain will clear inland as the coast receives more showers as the deepens as it pulls away from the coast.
Very small waves for surfers, bigger in the north, on the Gold Coast around 2 to 3 feet. Boating will be best during Saturday morning.
