BASKETBALL NJL CARNIVAL IN FULL SWING

Local sides have made a strong start at the third round of the Northern Junior League basketball carnival.

Development officer and coach, Blake Kelly says it’s great exposure for his under 16s squad, who won their game against Taree on Saturday, by 20 points.

“It’s phenomenal, I mean the boys work really hard on and off the court, trying to get their bodies right and working on their individual games and then to showcase that talent at home, in front of of their family and friends.”

Coffs also fended off Taree in the under 14s girls game, with a final score of 54 to 25.
